As spotted by The Gamer, YouTuber Brother Foller recently uploaded a video showing some gameplay footage from Red Dead Redemption 2. In the brief clip, Arthur Morgan can be seen standing dangerously close to the edge of a cliff. The player then opens their inventory and gets the protagonist to consume some poisonous plants. Upon consumption, Arthur then lunges off the cliff, but not before he begins to vomit. The animation plays out throughout the duration of the fall, and upon landing, he doesn’t appear to have been affected by the impact.

Essentially, it looks as though this is a fairly useful bug for anyone who’s playing the game and needs a quick and painless way to drop from a great height. There are some potentially hilarious bugs in Red Dead Redemption 2, particularly when it comes to character models. There are instances in which Arthur’s skin texture doesn’t load in, which can cause him to look like the stuff of nightmares. There’s also a method that can allow players to make huge amounts of money by manipulating a duplication glitch. Much like the “vomit bug,” this one borders on the side of useful, even if it does break the spirit of the game.
Given the sheer popularity of Rockstar’s 2018 release, it’s hardly surprising that fans are hoping for a Red Dead Redemption 3. The success of the series means that a new installment should be an inevitability, but with the studio currently working on Grand Theft Auto 6, a new RDR installment could be years away, if indeed it happens at all.
Sadly, the developer does appear to be moving away from this series as it puts its efforts into the next GTA title. With development winding down on Red Dead Online, though new content is coming, the Western franchise could well be getting left in the dirt. Of course, Rockstar may very well pick up the series once GTA 6 is done, as a third Red Dead Redemption game would likely be a guaranteed money spinner for the company.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
