According to a number of sources, there have been sightings of the rumored upcoming AMD RX 6400. Tom’s Hardware managed to find it listed on the Bulgarian retailer BestPC priced at 562 Bulgarian Levs, or around $312 US, while PC Gamer references the site MyDrivers.com which has it for just under 1,500 Chinese Yuan, or approximately $235 US. There was also a listing on a Singapore retailer as spotted by Twitter user momomo_us. However, this appears to have been taken down since.

It’s worth saying at this stage that AMD has yet to officially confirm the new card, but its existence is something that many have already been aware of. The RX 6400 was mentioned in December 2021 which was discovered via leaked renders. Details about the product show that it’s more of an entry level piece of hardware, with the MSI Radeon RX 6400 Aero ITX coming with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory. It also includes 768 shaders, as opposed to 1,024 that’s in the 6500 XT, and uses 53W of power.

With Nvidia recently launching the underwhelming RTX 3090 Ti, it seems as though team red may be more interested in the lower end of the market, whereas its rival is wanting to push the boat out in the final moments of this era with its most powerful card to date. Overall, both companies are scrambling to eke out these last few months by offering up new products, especially now that prices are starting to come down, and the market seems to be getting a little better each day.

Both AMD and Nvidia are interested in moving forward with the technology. With the RDNA 3 architecture announced and the RTX 40-series aiming for a September launch, the end of this year will see the next GPU generation emerge, and it will be interesting to see where things go from there, especially with Intel entering the ring.
