Early this summer, EA confirmed a new Need for Speed game would be coming soon, promising an action-packed adventure for fans of the franchise. While this isn’t exactly a new game, many fans have been looking for remakes to breathe new life into the older games in the popular racing game series, and it appears that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will fill that response.

The game developer that Electronic Arts said would be working on the new game is Criterion, who has worked on many other racing games. One of the titles this developer has previously worked on is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, leading the way for a remastered version of the game. This remastered game isn’t the new game that the company is promising, but this remake still is cause for a lot of excitement.
With so many leaks coming out recently, the gaming community seems to have a lot to look forward to. Breath of the Wild 2, Skyward Sword for the Switch, new sneak peeks into Call of Duty 2020, and this specific leak show fans across the many genres in gaming that despite setbacks such as the coronavirus, the industry is working hard to bring new content to the community waiting for it.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is currently available on PC and legacy consoles.
