The trailer itself shows off a better glimpse of the title’s world, with the game seeming like a mix of a number of different genres and styles. The footage highlights classes that utilize guns, swords, hammers, spears, and even magic, making the title appear like a fairly broad MMO mixing pot that allows users to play however they choose. They’ll need these weapons badly, however, as the title appears to be flooded with a number of different ghouls, monsters, and giant beasts. From zombies and lumbering giants to demonic spirits and colossal broadsword wielding knights, it seems the game’s antagonistic forces are varied and numerous.

The core focus of the game seems to be fighting these adversaries through a wide number of environments, with the trailer showing off eerie swamps, stone ruins, and even some sort of hellish field with demonic portals. Alongside that, it appears base defense is a key part of the title, with the trailer also showing numerous players defending flags from waves of enemy monsters. The trailer also comes with the announcement that a beta will be available next month, so players can try their hand at New World very soon.

New World will be available on August 25 for PC.
