RELATED: New Xbox Elite Controller Footage Leaks
If the leaked release date for the white Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 is accurate, then one would think Microsoft would properly reveal the controller sooner rather than later. Based on how Microsoft typically announces new Xbox controller colors, it will likely come in the form of a blog post on the Xbox website, but it’s also possible that the controller’s reveal could happen as part of some event.
Some Xbox gamers may be more interested in Xbox making a completely new controller, but no plans to that effect have been announced at this time. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has spoken highly of the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, suggesting that a future Xbox controller might be similar to the DualSense, but again, nothing has actually materialized.
This white Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 release date leak is coming hot off the heels of Sony announcing its own version of the Elite or Pro controller. At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Sony announced the PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller, which is essentially the PlayStation version of the Xbox Elite Series Controller. The PS5 DualSense Edge controller is currently without a price or release date, so fans will have to stay tuned for more information on that front.
